Kansas City Rib Rub

Below is the traditional recipe for Kansas City Rib Rub. Experience a really mouthwatering meal with this rub paired with a good bbq sauce.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup paprika
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne

Mix all the ingredients together and transfer into an airtight container and keep it in a dry cool place.

Carolina Rib Rub

Try this classic style Carolina Rib Rub for pork ribs, lamb, or poultry.

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup paprika
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons ground black pepper

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl or a casserole. Mix well and use it as dry rub on your meat.

Memphis Style Rib Rubs

This traditional Memphis style barbecue rib recipe is usually served with no barbecue sauce at all.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons cayenne
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder

Combine and mix all the ingredients together and keep in an airtight container.

All Purpose Dry Rub

This rub can be used for any kinds of meat that you want to grill.

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup paprika
  • 2 tablespoons black pepper (freshly ground)
  • ¼ cup dark brown sugar
  • ¼ cup salt

Combine all the ingredients in a small bowl and mix evenly.
