Recover from Jet Lag FastThe problem with riding on a plane is jet lag most especially when it’s a very long trip.  Suffering from this problem may last for days and ruin your entire trip or vacation.  Don’t let jet lag ruin the whole thing.  If in case you can’t avoid having it, there are steps that you can take to recover from it fast.

What is Jet Lag ?

Jet lag is the term for a physiological condition that results from alterations to the circadian rhythms of the body.  It also referred to as desynchronosis.  It is caused by rapid long-distance transmeridian.

  • Insomnia
  • Digestive disorders
  • Fatigue
  • Disrupted sleep
  • Headache
  • Irritability

How to Recover from Jet Lag Fast ?

  • When you land on your place of destination, take some rest but do not make it so long.  Take a short nap then go out and take a walk.
  • As much as possible, your arrival should be early afternoon and plan a half day tour.  After the tour, have your dinner.  If you feel the urge to rest after the flight, fight it.  This will allow your body clock to reset.
  • Avoid drinking coffee or any drinks with caffeine.  A bottle of wine during your dinner is better.
  • Another effective jet lag cure is drinking lots of water onboard.
  • Once you’re on your destination, stay active and don’t nurse the jet lag symptoms and just go to bed before 9:00 or at your normal bedtime. This is one good remedy.
  • Take a bottle of the Body Shop Bergamot oil and inhale it while you’re on board.
  • If your problem is on how to recover from time zones, set your clock to the time of your destination.
  • Wear suitable clothing so you will be comfortable.
  • One of the best ways to recover from jet lag fast is to precondition yourself.  Three days before your departure or flight, go to bed early and get up early.  This will condition your body and will help you adjust quickly.  Bear in mind that an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure.

Your recovery from jet lag depends on how you treat it.  Just act naturally even if you feel bad.  Enjoying what you see in your new environment can also help you.  Recovering is a state of mind. Feel healthy and you will be.
