Same day, Wednesday after Arnold Clavio asked for understanding him on TV for his rude interview with Janet Napoles’ Attorney, MTRCB set a hearing with Arnold Clavio including Unang Hirit’s management to a “remedial and best practices conference” this coming November 11, Monday.

According to Chairperson Atty. Toto Villareal, what Arnold Clavio did is so alarming because it might have some negative effects on the children who might be watching the show and Unang Hirit is being registered as a public affairs program with parental guidance rating.

He also added that, we should respect everyone. We should be aware that a lot of children might be watching the program and that one good example that we could be showing here on young audiences is on how they could treat their guests/visitors nicely or the person being interviewed.

“Kailangang may respeto kahit kanino man. Dahil nga ang binigay na rating dito ay PG, ibig sabihin niyan, alam nating may batang manonood. At ‘yung ibibigay nating ehemplo sa kanila sa… ay kung paano tayo nakikipag-usap sa nagiging guest o nai-interview.”

MTRCB Chairperson said that on the hearing on November 11, they will tacle about the controversial interview,  about the “community standards”, best practices and how this can be prevented from happening again in the future.
