How to Cook Pork Binagoongan

Pork BinagoonganPork Binagoongan is a Filipino recipe and one of its main ingredients is the bagoong alamang (shrimp paste). Ingredients for pork binagoongan

• 1 kilo pork liempo/ belly with fat
• 445 ml shrimp paste (bagoong alamang)
• 3pcs. chili pepper, minced
• 4 pcs. small-sized tomatoes, diced
• 2 head small-sized onion, minced
• 1 1/4 head garlic, crushed
• 100 ml of water
• 120 ml of vinegar
• 3 1/2 tbsp. brown sugar

How to cook pork binagoongan:

1. Prepare the ingredients. Cut pork into cubes.
2. Place the pork into a large pot, add water.
3. Put pot over low heat and boil, wait until water slowly evaporates. By the time you notice oil is coming out, let it fry until lightly crispy. Set aside.
4. Saute onion, chilli, garlic and tomatoes from oil coming out from the pork. And then pour- in and mix the mixture on the pork which you set aside.
5. You are now ready to add bagoong alamang and cook for 5 minutes.
6. Add in vinegar and stir well.
7. Mix in the sugar and let it simmer/ boil for few minutes.
8. Remove over heat and ready to serve.
