Here’s another one, meet Josephine Aton from Cebu, a 32 year-old single mom who also auditioned in Pilipinas Got Talent and stunned everyone.

Like Jovit Baldivino, Josephine Aton surprised the viewers when she sang the song “I Believe“.  Who would have thought that a 256 pounds Josephine Aton who seems to have her vocal cords surrounded by huge amount of fatty tissue can sing that well.  Everyone was amazed.  Josephine Aton’s talent in singing is astounding.  Compliment by Ai-Ai after her audition, “pang-intenational ang voice mo”.  Josephine Aton’s I BELIEVE Youtube Video got 16,300 view after only 24 hours when it was first uploaded making it one of the Youtube hit for Pilipinas Got Talent.

Josephine Aton would have become a famous singer here in the Philippines or even International if only her father didn’t discourage her when she was a child.  Josephine mentioned in the youtube video that her father kept on discouraging her when she wanted to join in the singing contest when she was a child.  And so, she decided to just hid her talent and stop in singing.  Her father should stop discouraging  instead help her to pursue her dream.

J0vit Baldivino’s youtube video, by the time of this post has already gotten 800,000 views and its only been 6 days.  Bon J0vit’s, im sorry i mean Jovit Baldivino’s Fan Page in Facebook already has 13,000 members who have joined the club and this Fan Page was just created at the time when the youtube video was posted.

Jovit Baldivino’s popularity can be compared to Susan Boyle of Britain’s  Got Talent who also stunned Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and all of the audience with her beautiful voice and got lots of views in youtube video in just a few days.

Kim Yuna & Mao Asada at 2010 Olympics

Kim Yuna – The hot figure skater in South Korea just won a gold medal on thursday (feb 25) a gold medal in ladies figure skating at 2010 World Olympics at Vancouver.  Her chief rival, Mao Asada of Japan won Silver while Joannie Rochette of Canada won bronze.  Mirai Nagasu of USA, although at 4th place was as happy as Kim Yuna after hearing their score at the final. Mirai said, “I don’t care about the results, I just want people to know I’m the future.”

Kim Yuna was very relaxed and confident during the program, maybe the reason why she landed all her jumps perfectly in 2010 World Olympics.

Yu-na Kim got a total score of 228.56  shattering her previous world record by 18 pts.  It is South Korea’s 1st medal at the Winter Olympics.

Tomato Battery Powering One LED and a Buzzer

Just wanna share about this one nice article i just read from elperfecto.com about this tomato battery.

I was amazed about this tomato battery that can power up the LED and buzzer.  When i was in high-school, i remember we did an experiment about lemon batt.  powering a small calculator.  We had about approximately 10 lemons to power up the small calculator.  Lemon is the commonly used fruit in the science project to make a batt. and not a t0mat0.  So i was amazed to see this one t0mat0 powering a LED and a buzzer.  The t0mat0 batt. only uses two metals: zinc and copper dipped in mashed t0mat0. The t0mat0 batt. in the video was able to  give about 3.5 volts enough to power up the LED and the buzzer.  According to the author,  “Acid can release electricity from metal” and one good source of acid except from the lemon is the t0mat0.  Watch the video below to see the t0mat0 battery at work.

Leakage in Duracell Batteries

If you have lots of battery powered devices in your home, it is important that you should know how to clean leaking AA batteries.  Sometimes leaving the batteries for too long causes them to leak especially when the device is not in use for a long time.  Just like the two AA duracell batteries in our remote control that i found out last week leaking because the device was not in use for a long time.  Sometimes leak is also cause by puncture in the batteries.

It is important to clean up immediately the leaking AA batteries as soon as find out that its leaking, otherwise, the battery acid can damage the electronics device because it can cause corrosion on the PCB layout and electronics components of the device which can lead to short circuit.

Here’s how to clean up leaking AA batteries, the cleaning method only differs depending on whether the batteries that have leaked are alkaline or acid.

1.   The first thing to do is to choose a well-ventilated area.  This is to prevent you from inhaling the harful fumes of the leaking battery.  Outside your house is    ideal place to clean up.  If you chose to clean up the battery inside your house, make sure that you turn on your fan to keep air moving.

2.   Next thing to do is to put rubber gloves and protective eye wear.  Please dont skip this step,  Obviously, this is to protect your hand and eyes from leaking battery acid.

3.   Now, determine wheather the battery is alkaline or acid.  If the battery is alkaline then you should use acid to clean it up, if it is acid then it requires alkaline to clean it up.

4.   We will now make a cleaning solution,  Choose step 4a if your battery is alkaline and step 4b of your battery is acid-based.

4a.  Alkaline Battery

1. Pour 1/2 teaspoon of vinegar or lemon juice into a bowl.
2. Mix in 1 1/2 teaspoons of water.

4b. Acid-based Battery

1. Put 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda into a bowl.
2. Add enough water to make a paste (consistency of toothpaste)

5.  Now its time to clean up the battery leakage, get a tootbrush or cotton swabs and dip it in our solution then rub it on the surface of the stain.

Voila !!!, You’ve just finished cleaning up battery leakage.

3 Tips on How to prevent Battery Leakage

1.  Remove the battery When you know that you will not be using the device for sometime.
2.  Change the battery of the device once it ran out.
3.  When buying, select a good brand of battery.

Preparation Time: 30 minutes plus 20 minutes to chill

Papaya, Carrots and Fried Fish Salad Ingredients:

• 3 cups grated unripe papaya
• 1 1/2 cups grated carrots
• 1/4 cup copped wansuy
• 1/4 cup hive (dried shrimp), soaked in water for 10 minutes then drained
• 3 pieces siling labuyo
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1/4 cup vegetable oil
• 1/4 cup calamansi juice
• 1/4 cup vinegar
• 8 g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
• 2 tbsp patis or to taste Shredded left-over fried fish crispy fried tofu or fried wonton wrappers (optional)

Procedure:

1. Toss papaya, carrots and wansuy in a bowl.  Set aside in the refrigerator to chill.
2. Using a mortar and pestle, coarsely crush the hive and the siling labuyo together.  Transfer in a bowl.  Add sugar and mix very well.
3. Whisk in oil,  vinegar & calamansi juice into the mixture till mixture is fully incorporated.
4. Season with MAGGI MAGIC SARAP  and patis to taste.
5. To assemble salad, toss the prepared vegetables in the prepared dressing.  Transfer on a plate and top with fried left-over fish, fried tofu or crispy wonton wrappers if desired.

It is estimated that the asteroid that smashed into Earth that caused Dinosaurs extinction was 40 Km in diameter

Asteroid impact is one of scientist’s theory about dinosaur  extinction. You probably heard about this many times and maybe you are wondering if that was the asteroid that hit the Northern Arizona and left a crater as big as a football stadium.  That’s because that was the biggest and the most popular crater that i read from encyclopedia and so i thought that it was the meteor that killed the dinosaurs 65 million years ago. if you think it was that asteroid just like i was thinking before, then you’re wrong.  It’s still small for it to kill all of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago and that crater in Arizona was just created about 40,000 years ago by a nickel-iron meteorite about 50 meters accross.  Many times smaller than what researchers recently found !!!

So, if you’re wondering where that bigger asteroid crashed that caused dinosaur extinction can be found, Well, Sankar Chatterjee and team of researcher have been looking at something known as the Shiva crater. This is located  beneath the Indian Ocean, west of Mumbai, India.  The size of the crater  is  approximately 600 kilometers long by 400 km wide and estimated to  be around 65 million years old which is believed to be the time of the death of the dinosaurs.  Chatterjee believes that this is the largest crater known on Earth and would have been made by an asteroid or comet  approximately 40 Kilometer in diameter!!!  The size is astounding.  Imagine a rock that huge travelling at the speed faster than sound smashed into earth.  It must have resulted in a great earthquake and huge tsunamis.  But this was not the caused of dinosaurs’ extinction.  Keep reading…

if we look on the photo we can see an underwater mountain called Bombay high which is as tall as McKinley (5K) surrounded by Shiva’s crater.  According to Chaterjee the asteroid impact is powerful enough that caused magma to well up and create the mountain rapidly upward. The asteroid impact also caused the Indian subcontinent to break off and drift toward Africa, now known as the Seychelles islands.

Chaterjee and team of researcher found rich deposits of shocked quarts and iridium that can be found more commonly at asteroid impact sites. Chaterjee suggests that the impact may have enhanced volcanic eruptions altering the climate and hastening dinosaur’s extinction.

Registry Setting to disable My Computer:

1. Open RegEdit
2. Search for 20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D
3. This should bring you to the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTCLSID section
4. Delete the entire section.

Now when you click on My Computer, nothing will happen.  You might want to export this section to a Registry file before deleting it just in case you want to enable it again. Or you can rename it to 20D0HideMyComputer4FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D.
