Have you been dying to know how to add Facebook emoticons while chat-talking to your friends or just when you are updating your status? How do I put those Facebook heart symbols, you ask?

The most commonly used symbol among social networking sites is the heart icon. Usually, this symbol is used as an expression of affection. These days, instant messaging without icons and symbols seems really boring. It is because not only do these emoticons give life to your chat messages and status but they also convey more emotions to what you wanted to say.

How Do I Make Facebook Heart Symbol ?

Facebook heart symbols can be done easily. To make this , you just need to follow these simple instructions that we’ve prepared for you.

While on your Facebook chat windows, or when you want to update your status, use the “ALT” button found on the bottom left of your keyboard and press the number “3” found on the right side of your keyboard. You have now keyed in a heart icon. ♥

One thing though, you have to make sure that you enable the Num Lock on the top right of your keyboard. The numbers on top of the letters won’t work so it’s better to use the numeric keys.

But, are you tired of the same heart symbol that you’re using? Are you looking for an alternative heart shape symbol which you can use for your MySpace, Twitter, and Facebook chat? Deviate to the normal heart symbols that you see from your friends! You can copy and paste the heart symbol that you see below to add it on your page.

ღ

Alternative Heart Symbol for MySpace Page

In your MySpace account setting, go to your name and input & hearts to make a heart icon in your page. Be careful! There are no spaces in between and the letter “h” is not in an uppercase. Quite easy, huh!

Facebook symbols are just so fun to use. And we hope that you won’t be left out in the circle anymore with a couple of hearty tips that we’ve provided for you. Enjoy! ♥

Tweaks to increase loading times. " width="240" height="180" />For the past few weeks i had experienced a very slow pldt internet connection. My pldt internet connection went down to 0.7 mb downloading speed and the uploading speed was just 0.15 mb. It was really terrible and watching a 5 minutes youtube video took almost 30 minutes to fully download and play on my mozilla firefox and took about 50 minutes when i was using internet explorer. And there were times that i can’t opened some sites like facebook and “Network Timeout” was displaying on my mozilla firefox or internet explorer browser.

Tweaks to speed up Mozilla Firefox

I was really upset because it was almost 3 weeks of very slow internet connection speed. So i decided to look for some tweaks on how to speed up mozilla firefox. When i did some tweaks on my mozilla firefox browser, i noticed that the loading time of the sites bacame faster. The 30 minutes loading time of youtube video went down to approximately 15 minutes. So i was able to speed up my mozilla firefox browser by up to 50%. And also i was able to open my facebook account and most of the sites without encountering “Network Timeout” error message. I also tried to speed-up my internet explorer. However, when i did the config setting it seems that the page loading times on my internet explorer 8 only increased to just about 10 to 15 percent. So, i recommend you to just use mozilla firefox instead of Internet Explorer. If you have slow internet connection or just want to further increase the loading time speed, here are some config setting on how to speed up your mozilla firefox.

1. Open you mozilla firefox and type “”about:config” in the address bar. Then type this keyword “network.http” on the “Filter:” textbox. Once you typed it, look for the following entries below.

network.http.keep-alive
network.http.proxy.pipelining
network.http.pipelining
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

2. Now we have to change the values to:

network.http.keep-alive >> true
network.http.proxy.pipelining >> true
network.http.pipelining >> true
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests >> 8

What is Pipelining ?

Notice that most of the config settings has to do with the pipelining. What is Pipelining anyway? Pipelining is a technique of sending out multiple HTTP requests to the web server then downloading and assembling different parts of a web page to your browser resulting in dramatic increase of speed in page loading times. Normally HTTP requests are issued sequentially that can result in significant delay of the page loading times.

3. Restart your Mozilla Firefox.

Once you finish all of the above config setting, you should now experience about 40 to 50 percent increase in web pages loading times.

Another Tip to Speed Up Mozilla Firefox

Finally, one last tip to increase the speed of your firefox is by using FasterFox Mozilla Add-on. This FasterFox add-on will help you to tweak your mozilla browser easily. Just install it and your done.

Recently in my post about Task Manager Enabler, i mentioned that as soon as i installed one software i downloaded from the internet i noticed that my Task Manager had been disabled by that software, maybe because of the virus embedded on that software. Also, i found out that my registry editor had been disabled when i was going to fix the task manager, and got an error message like this ” Registry Editing has been disabled by your Administrator “.

So above image is the error that will pop-up once registry editor has been disabled. As i mentioned, usually it is caused by the virus. You can also encounter this error in Internet Cafe when the administrator really restricted the registry, or maybe in your company. Of course, there are settings in registry to enable and disable registry but how will you do it when the registry itself has been disabled. Obviously, you can just do it to disable the registry.

So, how will you enable the registry editor easily with a click of a button?

I found a software from one site and it is called Registry Fix .

I found it here at www.taskmanagerfix.com for free download, you can also download the software to enable task manager as i mentioned in my recent post – task manager enabler

Task Manager Enabler : Last week my computer was infected by a virus. I think i got it from the software i downloaded from the internet and after i installed it, i noticed that it caused the task manager to disabled. I got an error like this ” Task Manager has been disabled by your Administrator “.

Of course to fix this problem you have to work on registry. So, i search in google about registry setting that will enable the task manager and i found one site but when i run “regedit” on run shortcut i found out that it had been disabled also by the virus, now i got an error like this ” Registry editing has been disabled by your Administrator “. So, i just search for a software that will enable the task manager. Fortunately, i found one software — the Task Manager Fix

And fixing the task manager is as easy as clicking ” Fix Task Manager ” button, and it’s done!. I found the software from this website www.taskmanagerfix.com.

You can download task manager enabler for free.

Have you already experience the ” windows defender application failed to initialize 0x800106ba ” error, Yesterday i installed games in my new quad core desktop computer and i encounter this ” windows defender application failed to initialize 0x800106ba ” error. Below is the image of the exact error message i encountered:

I tried to restart my computer and whenever i restart it you will still see the windows Defender service error message popping up. I just noticed that i started to encounter this message error as soon as i installed the game so i researched on the net about this Windows defender services error and i found out that the 2009 Mcafee Security for Windows Vista which is installed in my computer really disable the Microsoft Windows Defender. So, just leave that setting there and don’t enable the Windows Defender because Mcafee Security disables it to improve the system performance. I don’t know what happened, maybe something in the game’s installer has enabled the Windows Defender that’s why i kept on seeing ” windows defender application failed to initialize 0x800106ba ” error whenever i restart my PC. So if you also encounter this problem and you have Mcafee Security installed in your PC, what you have to do is to make sure to disable it.

Here’s How to Disable the Windows Defender Service :

1. Just Click Windows
2. Select All Programs
3. then select Accessories
4. Right Click the Command Prompt
5. Run as Administrator
6. then type these commands in command prompt

sc config WinDefend start= “disabled”

sc stop WinDefend

Note: that you have to put space between = and ”

7. then Press Enter

I was able to fix it When i disabled the windows defender and Im not
seeing that annoying popping message whenever i will restart my computer. Hope this Help.

Just yesterday my HP laptop got infected with Sohana.J Virus. I have two nx6110 model HP Laptops in our office and one of the laptop got infected with this virus. I believe this Sohana.J virus is very dangerous, in fact, i’m cursing this Sohana.J worm Virus because it killed my laptop.

Although when i researched about Sohana.J Worm Virus in Internet, They say that this worm also known as New Folder.exe virus only spreads through Yahoo Messenger or any other instant messaging application and copies itself as SVHOST.exe in the Windows System folder and makes a new folder with the same name inside every folder you have. That’s the only thing sohanad virus does according to what i read.

But, as i said a while ago this virus is very dangerous because i believe it also writes something or destroy your BIOS once you got infected with sohana virus.

When my HP laptop got infected with this worm from my flash drive, i immediately saw that it created new folder with the same name inside every folder i have. At that time i never knew that it was sohanad virus because it seemed that my antivirus which was AVIRA wasn’t able to detect that virus. I just noticed that something was wrong because i kept on seeing the same folder name on every folder i was opening. An hour later, i decided to back-up my files because my laptop started to ran very slow.

About a couple of hours later, my laptop hanged and i started to hear beeping sound in laptop’s speakers. I restarted it, and just about few minutes when i restarted it, the laptop would hanged again and i heard the beeping sound again. Everytime i would restart the laptop, it would hang and you would hear the beeping sound. My only option then was to format and reinstall the OS.

So, i decided to format my laptop and reinstall my OS but after that, it was still the same. I swap the RAM and the hardrive with another laptop and again it was still the same. I reset the BIOS but it was still the same.

It was just lately that i discovered that it was the sohanad virus when i scanned my flash drive using other PC.

I think Sohanad worm virus also writes something in your BIOS program so even if you format or reinstall the OS, the problem will still be there. So the only option is to reprogram your bios, if you’re lucky, you can download bios program on your motherboard manufacturer’s website. Unfortunately, i didn’t find program for my BIOS.

Okay, so, When your laptop got infected with sohanad virus immediately remove this virus. The easiest way to get rid of this worm is to download the Sohanad Removal Tool. Although, i haven’t tested this program yet but i think this removal tool can help you to remove this virus.

This post is to warn you about this dangerous Sohanad virus. I want to say F*c* Y*u to the developer of this virus.

My one nx6110 model HP laptop is now resting in peace.

Svchost.exe similary named file Scvhost.exe is a worm malware programs

Svchost.exe or also known as Generic Host Process for Win32 Services is a vital part of your system, Obviously, when you remove the svchost exe your operating system will not startup at all because a lot of processes depend on this file. You can see the svchost.exe in the list of running processes in the Task Manager when you press the CTRL + ALT + Del. The path of this file is usually C:\windows\system32\svchost.exe. Most of the users are wondering what this svchost exe is, because most of the time you will see more than once of svchost.exe processes in the Task Manager.

I have said that svchost exe is a vital part of your system and should not be removed but be reminded that there is also similarly named file like the scvhost.exe which is not a system file but a kind of worm malware programs. Notice that it can be easily mistaken as a system file and not a virus at first glimpse. Look (svchost.exe -> scvhost.exe virus). Almost similar, right? This virus is also known as the W32/YahLover.Worm.gen and Win32/Autorun.R.worm.

This malware usually spread through Yahoo Messenger. So, accepting invitation from unknown friend is one sure way to get infected with this scvhost.exe virus. What does this virus do is that it disable or blocks the Task Manager and also the Registry Editor and install itself in the autorun.inf file. The malware spreads by copying itself in the shared folders and then remotely install itself in the registry.

How to get rid of scvhost.exe virus:

1. You need to run your system on safe mode, so boot your system and while booting press f8, then choose the Safe Mode.

2. Once you’re on safe mode, go to command prompt by clicking the Start -> Run -> and then type the “cmd”.

3. Command prompt opens, now let’s go to this path C:\Windows\System32 by typing the CD C:\Windows\System32 then enter, Once in the folder, type the following then press enter:

attrib -h -r -s scvhost.exe

attrib -h -r -s blastclnnn.exe

attrib -h -r -s autorun.inf

Note: What are we doing here is that we are changing the attributes of these files for us to be able to delete the files because they are set to hidden, system, and read-only attribute.

4. We can now delete the infected files. Type the following in the command prompt and press enter:

del scvhost.exe

del blastclnnn.exe

del autorun.ini

5. Type CD\ the press enter, then type the following: then press enter

attrib -h -r -s autorun.inf

del “autorun.inf

6. Now we have to remove some entries on the registry, type the “regedit” on the command prompt and press enter.
Registry Editor opens, now look for this startup key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Window\CurrentVersion\Run. then delete the Yahoo! Messenger entry with the value “c:\windows\system32\scvhost.exe“.

7. Find this key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon and then edit the “shell” entry with the value “explorer.exe, scvhost.exe” into “explorer.exe“.

8. Look for this key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ . and delete the following subkeys:

RpcPatch

RpcTftpd

9. Reboot the PC and you’re done.

Removing this virus manually may be difficult If you are not a techie type person. You might want to consider installing your PC with spyware removal application such as NOD32 or any other strong spyware removal application for you to easily get rid of this virus.
